music people!
Well, we're all in the middle of our papers, so I hope everyone's still coping well with all the stress. Think positive, it'll be absolute freedom very soon. But for the guys who are going to be enlisted for NS, sorry ah. =P Especially Alvin, who has boldly declared on his MSN nickname that he's gonna join the commando programme on 12 Jan. Hehe. Anyway, I'm thinking of sharing some of my favourite songs here. The songs may not be to your liking since I don't know if anyone here would share the same taste in music as me. I'm actually into oldies and classics. Yup. So, hope you like those songs! Music's a nice form of escapism after all.
This is "Eternal Flame" by Human Nature, an Australian boyband. They did their own rendition of this song in 1999. The original singer is Susan Hoffman, I think, with her 80's band The Bangles. But I prefer this version somehow. Susan's Hoffman's voice is a little shrill, though tender. And guys singing in formal suits is another factor of appeal. =P
"Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" by George Michael and Elton John. It's my favourite song, by the way.
"Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Simon and Garfunkel. Art Garfunkel's the taller one with curly blond hair and Paul Simon's the shorter one. This song is actually a hit song written and performed by both of them in 1971. Another of my favourite songs! Yay! And in this video, they're singing it again in their "Old friends: live on stage" tour in 2003. So they're both ah-peks now! But they still sound good! Especially when both of them harmonise their voices together. Perfect!
Okay, that's all! Best of luck for the rest of your papers!
